Saturday!

I don’t know what to write about today.

I’m happy it’s Saturday and thus laundry day. I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable again after 11 years of doing laundry all on one day. Pack it all up, wash it all, fold it all, dry it all, bring it all home, and put it away at once instead of in small batches throughout the day. I hear coworkers talking about leaving the laundry in the dryer, forgetting about it for a day or so, and I can’t imagine that anymore. But the only reason I can’t imagine it is because if I leave something in the dryer, I have to come back for it the next day. If I had a washer and dryer in my house, I’d be the same, I’m sure. Oh, I’ll just do a quick load, but then it’s too much trouble to go downstairs and take it out, etc.

Anyway, I like it the way it is, and I’m glad it’s Saturday, and I’m glad it’s laundry day.

Laundry day also means time alone. Usually one of my kids come with me to help and work on their laundry skills, but since the pandemic and the stay-at-home order, it seems safer to not bring them. Time alone is kind of precious lately, and so I really enjoy that.

I don’t have many other plans for today. I’d definitely like to spend some time outside, because the weather is lovely around here today. And I’d like to read some, to really get a chunk of my book read.

And, oddly, I feel like today would be a good day to write, actually. And it’s only “oddly” because I haven’t been writing since January, and so I feel like I’ve really tabled it as a hobby. But maybe that can change. I just need to make time for it.

Well, that’s about it for today I suppose. I’m going to force myself to pause the show and finish the chapter I’m in the middle of.

Promise.

I hope you’re having a great day! And if you’re not having a great day, I hope you’re having a good day. And if you’re not having a good day, I hope tomorrow is better. Loves!
